1. Do I have to attend weekly sessions?

Attending therapy sessions weekly helps establish consistency and allows for steady progress in addressing your priorities. Meeting at the same time and day each week helps establish a routine and at times it can be helpful for you to know that space is held for you..

2. How long will therapy last?

The length of therapy can vary depending on your needs and goals. Some people may only need a few sessions, while others may attend therapy for much longer. We will set objectives, including number of sessions, and review these regularly.

3. Is it confidential?

Yes, it is totally confidential. I am legally required to keep your personal information private and not disclose any information without your consent - except in the case of risk of harm to yourself or others.

4. What is the working alliance?

The working alliance refers to the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client. It’s one of the major components of successful therapy or coaching. Without trust and openness, progress is limited. The underlying purpose of the first few sessions is for us to build that alliance.

5. What are therapy boundaries?

Therapy boundaries refer to the limits of any therapeutic relationship. Boundaries are there to keep the client safe, but their primary role is to ensure that I am completely there for you as a coach and therapist.

It's important to be honest, but ultimately you need to decide what you feel comfortable sharing.

Payment for therapy is typically made in advance or at the beginning of each session. I don’t want to be chasing you for payment

A safe space in therapy refers to an environment that’s free from judgment or criticism – psychologically safe. It allows you to feel comfortable and secure in sharing your thoughts and feelings.
